Autism Africa is an International non-profit organization operating under the umbrella of International Special Education Coalition a 501 (c) 3 organization in the United States.
We provide training, support and other services to persons with autism as well as professionals in the field in Africa. Our office is based in Nairobi, Kenya and hope to influence the whole Africa.
Founded in 2007, we strive to engage in Biomedical and behavioral research in search of better understanding of this mysterious disorder and hopefully a cure.
While our focus is African countries, we collaborate with global researchers and share information, resources that assist families and children at a global level.
Mission
Autism Africa actively seeks partnerships with other non-governmental organizations and persons interested in autism both within Africa and abroad.
These relationships help share experiences and insure that support is provided to as many families possible.
To facilitate this process, Autism Africa is establishing a Federation of African Autism Organisations to represent the various schools and parent support groups all over the continent
